Vedhalam is one of the most expected movies of the year. Because the Ultimate Star Thala Ajithkumar joint hands again with Siruththai Siva for the second time after Hit Veeram. Normally Thala movies are targeting Thala fans and Youngsters but Veeram made the attention of the family audience. Family audiences are the real reason behind the success of any movies.

When they announced the release date, all the fans started their celebrating mode. And the first look also made some impact among the people. But the songs are pretty average only.

At the same time Kamal Hassan also announced that his Thoongaavanam will release on Diwali. Most of the Cinema people predict that this going to be a tough competition between them because both are biggies. But Vedhalam got many theatres compare to Thoongaavanam.

After the release both the movies got positives reviews. But Vedhalam shining like a star at the box office and still running successfully. The movie emerged as the biggest grosser of Ajith and the 11^th Tamil movie to achieve the 100Cr club as well as the 4^th movie of 2015.

Now the 1st four weeks collections are almost equal to 98% of the final gross.the collection of this movie was steady but last week it was heavily affected by the rain in TN. The final gross of the movie will be more than Singham 2.(S2 Tamil +Telugu but Vedhalam Tamil Only)
